PACTL achieves IATA CEIV in four categories
Shanghai Pudong International Airport Cargo Terminal Co., Ltd. (PACTL) and its subsidiary PACTL WEST have achieved IATA Center of Excellence for Independent Validators (CEIV) certification across four categories.
The certification across Pharma, Lithium Batteries, Fresh, and Live Animals follows the ground handler’s efforts to develop standardised, safe and compliant ground handling for complex and high-value air cargo.
By holding all four CEIV certifications, PACTL is able to provide airlines, freight forwarders, and shippers with a higher level of assurance that sensitive cargo is handled in accordance with internationally recognised best practise and standards.
PACTL has a long-term commitment to strengthening specialised handling capabilities across multiple cargo segments through continuous investment in dedicated facilities, operational processes, and professional teams.
Carsten Hernig, deputy general manager of PACTL, said: “A full suite of IATA CEIV accreditations is the result of sustained efforts across infrastructure, procedures, and people.
“It also reflects our focus on operational efficiency and reliability as cargo requirements continue to evolve. We will continue working closely with our airline and logistics partners to further enhance special cargo handling standards and contribute to Shanghai’s competitiveness in global air logistics.”
Xie Xingquan, IATA’s regional vice president, North Asia, added: “The CEIV programme is not only about compliance–it is about building trust, safety and resilience in a community mindset.
“As one of the world’s busiest cargo hubs, we are pleased to see PACTL lead the way in establishing a stronger culture of quality, cross-industry collaboration and increased customer confidence in the management of specialised cargo.”
